How to Choose a Surrogacy Agency as a Surrogate: Part One
Congratulations on making the selfless decision to become a Surrogate. You are embarking on a journey that will transform a deserving couple or individual’s lives. One of the first decisions that you must make in this process is which surrogacy agency you are going to work with. Although this may seem like a small choice, choosing the right surrogacy agency for you is extremely important. Keep reading to learn more about what to look for in a surrogacy agency to ensure you find the perfect match!
Agency History
One of the first things you will want to research is the history of the surrogacy agencies you are considering. Doing this will give you more insight into who owns the company, their years of experience, as well as the benefits of choosing to work with them.
Simple Surrogacy is a full-service agency that has been providing surrogacy services to heterosexual, single, and LGBTQIA+ families and individuals for over 20 years. We are the largest all-female owned and operated surrogacy and egg donation agency in the United States and work in every state where surrogacy is supported by the legal system. All of our staff are previous Egg Donors and Surrogates which allows us to give our Surrogates a unique and personalized experience. We are also based in Texas, which allows us to offer attractive fees to our clients due to the Texas Advantage.
Compensation
Another important aspect to consider when selecting a surrogacy agency is their compensation rates for Surrogates. Every agency will offer different levels of compensation depending on where they are located and the type of experience that you have.
At Simple Surrogacy, we are able to offer our Surrogates higher compensation than other agencies because we are located in Texas. The lower cost of living combined with the lack of state tax allows us to charge our clients less money and therefore allow them to pay more to you, their Surrogate. In addition, though we suggest rates for surrogates, each surrogate determines her fee for herself, because only the surrogate can know what she would carry the pregnancy for!

Matching Process
One of the most important things to look at when deciding which surrogacy agency will be right for you is their matching process. This is the process that is going to connect you with an Intended Parent or Intended Parents so it is extremely important that the process is seamless. It is important that the surrogacy agency has a system in place that will match you with Intended Parents who have the same views and values as you. This will not only make the process easier, but it will make the process right for you!
At Simple Surrogacy, each surrogate and Intended Parent does a profile where we ask not only about their communication preferences and surrogacy ideals, but about things they like, books they read, and common interests. This ensures the match is one among friends, and not just about business.
We make sure that all of our Surrogates and Intended Parents are fully screened prior to being added to our database. This includes background, financial checks, criminal checks, and psychological screening by a mental health professional. We have advanced matching protocols that are implemented by hand and never by algorithms to ensure we have the perfect match for both parties. In fact, over 95% of our Intended Parents choose the first Surrogate profile that they see!
