We were founded in 2002 to assist couples and individuals with the desire to achieve a family through third party assisted reproduction. Kristen Hanson – Executive Director of Finance and Contracts

Kristen Hanson

Kristen is an Owner and Executive Director of Finance at Simple Surrogacy. Kristen got her start in the Surrogacy and Egg Donation world as a multiple donor in 1999. Kristen oversees the financial aspects of Simple Surrogacy, as well as solely managing the escrow accounts of our clients.

Kristen’s legal responsibilities include determining state laws and required legal proceedings in the Surrogate’s and Intended Parents’ state of residency; locating separate legal counsel experienced in surrogacy law for Intended Parents and Surrogate; review and assist in negotiating the surrogacy contract between Intended Parents and Surrogate; assure both parties that contractual agreements are met by being a third party to contract; and overseeing all necessary legal filings and procedures (such as pre-birth orders and step parent adoptions) to establish parental rights for Intended Parents.

Kristen’s escrow responsibilities include opening of escrow; manage escrow account; monitor and authorize disbursements in accordance with your contract; reimburse expenses to Surrogate, including prescription medications and co-payments; and ensuring Intended Parents have access to all itemized monthly statements of the escrow activity.
Kristen’s first priority is to make sure all of our client’s money is handled in the most responsible way, that our Surrogates never receive a late payment, and that our clients are assured that their money is well managed.

Kristen is an experienced three time Egg Donor,  and parent, and is very experienced with all aspects of surrogacy involving Egg Donation.

Stephanie Scott is the Executive Program Director for Simple Surrogacy and Simple Donations in Dallas, TX. Her passion in life is helping childless couples and individuals realize their dreams of becoming parents. With over 27 years of experience in the surrogacy and egg donation community, having been a surrogate twice before and managing one of the oldest and largest, most supportive, well respected and cost-consciousness agencies in the United States, Stephanie has well rounded knowledge of every aspect of the surrogacy and egg donation process. She holds her team and the colleagues she works with to a higher standard, she expects everyone to go the extra mile so that everyone who comes through the program is not only successful, but has had a good experience.

As the Executive Program Director, Stephanie manages the day to day operations at Simple Surrogacy and Simple Donations. Her duties include, but are not limited to, new client consultations, profile review and editing, educating her clients about the process, creating a realistic budget for her clients, personally conducting all matches and ensuring her team is properly supportive all parties throughout their journey.

Danielle Toothman – Senior Surrogate Coordinator

Danielle Toothman

Danielle is an experienced three-time Gestational Surrogate who has carried twin boys in 2014, boy/girl twins in 2016, and a single boy in 2018 through our Surrogacy program. She is the senior Surrogate Support Coordinator, overseeing all communications between the Executive Director and the Surrogate coordinators. As a previous Surrogate herself, Danielle is able to relate closely to the Surrogates in our program and offer them the emotional support they need throughout their journey. Danielle’s responsibilities include meeting the Surrogate in person and going over the details of what to expect throughout the process; keeping the Surrogate up to date on all medical appointments scheduled on her behalf; addressing any questions or concerns she may have along the way; and supporting her throughout the pregnancy and the delivery.

Jill Errera – Intended Parent Coordinator

Jill Errera

Jill is an Intended Parent Coordinator and Egg Donor Coordinator for Simple Surrogacy and Simple Donations. She is an active mother of one daughter and an experienced Gestational Surrogate and Egg Donor.   She has delivered three sets of twins and one singleton to both U.S. and international Intended Parents.  Jill worked as an Intellectual Property Paralegal for 17 years before deciding to pursue a career with Simple Surrogacy.  Becoming a surrogate touched her life in such a positive way that she decided to continue helping grow families through surrogacy, even after her time as a surrogate was over.

Jill is responsible for supporting Intended Parents from acceptance into the program through taking their baby home.  She is also responsible for assisting Intended Parents in finding the right egg donor, and coordinator each donor cycle from beginning to end.  She is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to offer support, answer questions, address concerns, offer encouragement and share in the joys that come with the surrogacy process. Jill works closely with the with other members of the team to ensure that all concerns are addressed promptly.

Amber Higgs - Surrogate Coordinator

Amber is a DFW native and mother of three. She is an experienced egg donor and recently completed her first surrogacy journey with Simple Surrogacy; a lifelong dream and the most incredible experience she could have hoped for. She is honored to serve as a Surrogate Coordinator, supporting surrogates throughout their journey and offering guidance to help ensure the best experience possible.  As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Midwife, she has a passion for pregnancy and helping grow new families and years of experience and insight.

Stephanie Roach – Surrogate Screening Coordinator

Stephanie Roach

Stephanie is a previous surrogate through Simple Surrogacy and is now a Surrogate coordinator. Stephanie has been married since 2007 and lives in Texas with her husband and two children.  She enjoys traveling, gardening and spending time with her family.  Stephanie is a three time Gestational Surrogate with Simple, including a sibling journey. She has worked with Intended Parents internationally and domestically.  Stephanie has a passion for surrogacy and helping others complete their families.  Not only has she seen how amazing surrogacy is for completing other families, she has also had a family member born from surrogacy.

Sara Montgomery – Surrogate Coordinator

Sara Montgomery

Sara is an experienced Surrogate through Simple Surrogacy. She loved her journeys so much and had such amazing and supportive coordinators that she wanted to do the same for someone else by becoming a Surrogate Support Coordinator. Her role includes supporting her surrogates through their journeys and guiding them through the entire process. Sara resides in Texas with her husband and her two kids. When she is not at Taekwondo with her kids, she enjoys reading and volunteering at her kids school in her spare time.

Sara is responsible for the ongoing support of the matched Surrogates in our program. She checks on each of her Surrogates regularly to answer any questions they have and to offer them support and encouragement throughout their journey. Sara also reports back to our Executive Program Director weekly.

Madison Fain - Intended Parent Coordinator

Madison Fain

Madison is an Intended Parent Support Coordinator for Simple Surrogacy and a part-time college student. Madison supports and guides the Intended Parents and Surrogates in our program to ensure they have all of their needs met and their questions answered. Madison is a married mother of one and lives in Fort Worth, TX. She is a second-generation surrogate, her mother was a surrogate several times with Simple Surrogacy. She grew up knowing that when she had completed her own family, she wanted to give the amazing gift of parenthood to someone else. Madison is is currently pregnant with boy/girl twins for Intended Fathers from TN and is due October 2021. Growing up around surrogacy nearly her whole life, she has chosen to further participate in the field by supporting others through this amazing experience.

Joanne Lutterbie - Intended Parent Coordinator

Joanne Lutterbie

Joanne is an experienced three-time gestational surrogate with Simple. She delivered two singleton siblings, a girl in 2019 and a boy in 2021. She also gave birth to a boy in 2023 for International fathers based in Ireland.

After working within the same company for 14 years, Joanne took the opportunity to become a full-time mom. She enjoys running, spending time with her husband, and being a soccer/baseball mom for her two children.

Joanne’s passion for completing families through surrogacy led her to become an Intended Parent and Surrogate Coordinator for Simple Surrogacy. She hopes others will have the same beautiful, life-changing experience she found with Simple Surrogacy.

Emily Burlison - Surrogate Coordinator

Emily Burlison

Emily is a surrogate support coordinator at Simple Surrogacy. She married her high school sweetheart in 2007 and has two beautiful daughters. They currently live in The Netherlands and love exploring the beautiful country. She is an experienced Gestational Surrogate who delivered two singleton siblings, a girl in 2022 and a boy in 2023. She had a wonderful experience with Simple fulfilling one of her dreams by being a surrogate, she wants to help other women do the same by helping them through their journey.

Kayla Goins - Surrogate Coordinator

Kayla is an experienced Surrogate through Simple Surrogacy and is honored to serve as a Surrogate Coordinator. She resides in South Carolina with her husband and two children. She delivered her first singleton girl for an international family in 2022 and is currently on her second journey for another family. Kayla’s love for fertility and pregnancy led her to surrogacy and has now led her to helping other Surrogates have the same amazing experience. She will guide Surrogates throughout the entire process and provide support whenever is needed. She is dedicated to helping families achieve their goals and fulfill their dream of parenthood.

Darla Chayrez – West Coast Coordinator

Darla Chayrez

Darla is the West Coast Senior Support Coordinator at Simple Surrogacy. Darla is married to her high school sweetheart and has three daughters and one son. Darla began her surrogacy journey in 2007 and has experience in egg donation, gestational surrogacy, and traditional surrogacy. Darla was a Gestational Surrogate for Intended Fathers from Ireland and delivered their beautiful baby girl in 2011.

Darla believes surrogacy is such a blessing and hopes surrogacy will become an option for more couples and individuals who have lost faith that children would ever be in their future. With the proper steps it is feasible.

After working within the same corporation for 12 years, Darla decided to become a full time mom and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business and Management. With many years in the private and public business sector, she will be a great asset to Simple Surrogacy supporting surrogates and Intended Parents during their journeys.

Ashley Maldonado – Surrogate Coordinator

Ashley Maldonado is an experienced Gestational Surrogate through Simple Surrogacy who carried twins for Intended Fathers from California. She resides in Rhode Island and is a mother to a five year old daughter. Ashley enjoyed her experience as a surrogate so much she decided to guide other women through their journeys. Ashley is responsible for the ongoing support for some of the surrogates in our program. She provides encouragement, answers their questions, guides them and is their main contact throughout the process.

Richard and Ronnie Shawyer – UK Coordinators

Richard and Ronnie Shawyer

Richard and his partner Ronnie are the Intended Parent coordinators for the UK. They are fathers to twins born through surrogacy with Simple Surrogacy in 2015. Richard and Ronnie used Simple Donations for their egg donor and Simple Surrogacy for their gestational carrier. Their surrogate was based in North Carolina, USA. Richard and Ronnie have been through the parental order process in the UK.

Ronnie owns a real estate business in the UK but now works part time since the twins arrived.
Richard works in the healthcare technology space and enjoys trying to make sure all patient journeys are as smooth as possible.
Ronnie and Richard are responsible for making sure that the UK Intended Parents’ journeys are as smooth and informed as possible.

Penny Chen is an American Translators Association certified Chinese Translator and a Texas court licensed Mandarin Interpreter. She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with an MBA degree and a Ph.D. degree in Economics. She is hardworking, reliable and dependable.
