Becoming an egg donor is a rewarding and selfless act. Donated eggs allow for women who are unable to use their own eggs to get pregnant. In order to ensure that these donated eggs are healthy, there is a list of qualifications that egg donors must meet before donating their eggs with Simple Surrogacy.

Egg Donor Qualifications

There are several different qualifications that you must meet in order to work as an Egg Donor with Simple Surrogacy. Here is a look at a few of the qualifications that you must meet.

Be between the ages of 18-30

At Simple Surrogacy we ask that our egg donors be between the ages of 18-30 to ensure the health of the eggs. Age is a huge factor in the health of eggs and many women that come to use for egg donation are in fact suffering from fertility issues due to their age. We therefore only collect eggs that are from individuals ages 18-30.

Be a resident of the United States or Canada

This rule may seem restrictive and limiting, but it is in place for a reason. The surrogacy laws differ from country to country and even from state to state. That is why we only work with individuals located in North America.

Be height-weight proportionate (BMI must be 33 or lower)

Many people question why there is a BMI limit for egg donation. The weight of a women and her health plays a large part in the health of her eggs. If you are overweight then you are not healthy and therefore neither are your eggs. We must put the goals of our clients first and work to get them only the best eggs that we can find.

Not have any genetically carried medical conditions

One of the reasons that women decide to use an egg donor is because they have a genetically carried medical condition. We do not accept eggs from people with genetically carried medical conditions because we only accept healthy eggs.
These are only a few of the qualifications that must be met to become a surrogate with Simple Surrogacy. We take our time and work hard to ensure that our clients receive the best quality eggs possible. That’s why there are so many different requirements that must be met to move forward in the process and help someone create a family.
