This lead to stricter surrogacy laws across the United States and gestational surrogacy becoming much for popular.

2004-2008: Almost 5,000 children were born through surrogacy in the U.S.
Now: To this day, surrogacy is becoming more and more popular and the laws are changing in favor of surrogates and intended parents.
