Surrogates and Intended Parents Can Be Great Friends
Pregnancy is not easy. That’s why we have a friendly team—mostly composed of women—at the disposal of our surrogate mothers, 24/7. Fortunately, our agency’s experience of over 15 years allows us to not only match surrogates and intended parents, but also to set the foundation for beautiful friendships that last a lifetime.
Although the level of interaction between intended parents and surrogates varies, it’s always amazing to see them taking care of each other and sharing special moments. According to Anna, the most rewarding part about becoming a surrogate was hearing the excitement of her intended parents when their babies were born.
“It was one of the proudest moments in my life”, she says with a huge smile.
Anna’s relationship with her intended parents couldn’t have been any better. “They visited me in my hospital room so much and kept checking on me”, she recalls. Even her husband and kids developed a friendship with Anna’s intended parents.
Speaking of her children, Anna has a cute story to share:
“My older child totally understood what was going on the whole time. She told me she would be fine with it as long as she got to hold the babies once they were born. And she did!”
Anna reached out to Simple Surrogacy after searching on Google about how to become a surrogate. Initially, she wanted to be an egg donor. It was her mother who made her take a step further. “My mom called me a surrogate at one point during that experience. I told her that being a surrogate would be way too hard, but the idea just got stuck in my head”, she says.
The experience was so wonderful and life-changing that she is considering doing it again, especially if the same intended parents ask her. “Being a surrogate was definitely one of the most rewarding things I have ever done”, said Anna.
