Intended Parents Process: Egg Donation

Are you considering egg donation to start or grow your family? If you are, you should choose Simple Surrogacy as your agency to guide you throughout the journey. We know how difficult the road that has lead you here has been and we want to ensure you that the difficulty stops here. We are committed to treating you with the respect you deserve and to getting you the results that you desire! Our team is very experienced with egg donation and can help teach you more about the process and the steps to achieve your goal in the most positive and stress-free way possible.

How Can Egg Donation Work for me?

After the egg donation has been completed, the intended parent(s) must decide how the eggs will be used. There are two ways that you can use egg donation to become a parent with Simple Surrogacy.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)

The first way is you can take the donated egg and undergo IVF. This means that the egg would be combined with your partner’s or a donor’s sperm to form an embryo. This embryo would then be implanted in your uterus and you would become pregnant. This means that you would carry the baby throughout the pregnancy and give birth to your child.

Gestational Surrogacy

Gestational Surrogacy is a type of surrogacy that involves using either the intended mothers eggs or a donor’s eggs with sperm to implant an embryo into a surrogate. This means that you could select the donor’s eggs that you would like to use and then have a surrogate carry the child for you. This is great for women who are unable to carry children of their own or for gay men to have a baby that is still biologically related to them.

Intended Parents Requirements

At Simple Surrogacy, we do not discriminate against any person who wants to become a parent. Regardless of your gender, race, religious affiliation, fertility issues, marital status, or sexual orientation, we accept everyone. The only thing that we require from our Intended Parents is that they meet the following list of criteria prior to registering:

  • Be Honest
  • No criminal history (Background check required)
  • Complete paperwork fully
  • Financially stable
  • Be respectful of Egg Donor’s time and commitment
  • Between the ages of 21-60
  • Be in a stable living situation
  • Have the support of your spouse or partner (when applicable)
  • Have read and understand the Egg Donation process
  • Be willing to undergo a Psychological Assessment

At Simple Surrogacy, we care deeply about our egg donors as well as the children that these eggs can become. That’s why we reserve the right to refuse service to someone who does not meet the above listed requirements.

Intended Parents Process

Once you have met our list of requirements to become an intended parent with Simple Surrogacy, the process can begin. This process is very straight forward and requires the following steps to be completed:

  • Register at
  • Verify your email address through the link sent to you.
  • Choose up to 3 Donors, and select to submit selections. Be sure your top choice is at the top.
  • Simple Donations will email you to verify that you meant to submit your selections. We will send to you our Application form, which is a short survey requesting information we will need from you before we can verify your Donor’s ability to donate.
  • We will contact your Donors to verify their willingness to cycle for you.
  • Once your Donor confirms her availability and willingness, your reservation fee is due. This administrative fee, $150, must be paid to lock in your donor for your cycle. It must be paid before we can request any additional information from your chosen Donor.
  • Once you and your clinic have all of the information necessary, and you decide that you would like your donor to be screened at your clinic, you must complete our Retainer Agreement and pay the initial Retainer fee.
  • You will establish escrow to fund your Donor’s travel to screening and any expenses associated with her screening.
  • We will arrange your Donor’s travel to screening, as necessary.
  • Once your Donor has passed screening, the final part of our Retainer fee is due.
  • You and your Donor will have contracts drafted by your attorney and review those contracts.
  • Contracts are signed and legal clearance is sent to your clinic.
  • You fund Escrow for the full amount of your Donor’s compensation, plus estimated expenses for travel.
  • Your clinic schedules your cycle. We will arrange for all travel to the clinic for your Donor, and help to coordinate monitoring of your Donor if she is being monitored at a location other than your retrieval clinic.
  • Your Donor will attend retrieval. We will reimburse her for her expenses and pay her compensation.

These are the basic steps that must be followed to become an intended parent. Although sometimes the process can become a bit more complex, we strive to keep our process simple!
