There are so many ways that apps can make our lives easier, and as a parent, that’s especially true. From the hazy first few sleepless weeks through baby’s first years, there are plenty of apps that can make life as a new dad or mom easier. Whether you’re an intended parent with a baby on the way or a new parent whose child has already arrived, take a look at these top baby apps.

Activity Trackers

BabyTime (free) – This app allows you to track every baby activity (diapers, feedings, sleep) and is easily shareable between parents and other caregivers. It can also be used for multiple children.
Glow Baby (free) – Track all aspects of baby’s first year. Receive daily articles and advice from the app’s partner, Baby 411. A premium subscription with more features is available.
Sprout Baby (free) – Another daily log app to track baby’s activities and care. Export PDF summaries for doctor’s visits. You can also check your baby’s progress with World Health Organization data and CDC guidelines.

Baby Development

The Wonder Weeks ($2.99) – Learn about and track your baby’s development for his or her first 20 months. Calendars help you track mental development “leaps.”
BabySparks (free) – Contains information on over 1,300 developmental activities and milestones up to age 2. The app can provide daily activity suggestions based on your baby’s age and stage.

Baby Health

WebMD Baby (free) – While this app does provide a baby activity tracker, it also has hundreds of medically-approved articles, tips and videos. It’s the perfect complement to “Dr. Google” when you’re trying to figure out what’s going on in the middle of the night.
Heal (free) – If you have a health concern for your baby but can’t get in to see your pediatrician, check out Heal. This app sends a licensed doctor to your home, but it’s only available in limited areas (check heal.com/cities).
InfantRisk Center Health Care ($9.99) – Search over 20,000 prescription and over-the-counter medications as well as vitamins to see if they are safe for baby. You can also call the InfantRisk Center directly from the app.

Baby Sleep Help

Cloud Baby Monitor ($3.99) – If you have two devices (Android, iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch, etc.), you can link them to use them as a baby monitor and receiver. It’s a handy app to have, especially for travel.
Sound Sleeper (free) – Another app that is great for travel so you can leave your sound machine at home. Choose from a variety of sounds. It also features a “Listen Mode” that will activate the app when your baby cries.

Sharing Your Baby With Others

Baby Pics (free) – There’s nothing cuter than sweet baby photos on Instagram, Facebook and other social media channels. Show off your baby with this app that adds text, dates, stickers, emojis and more.
Tiny Beans (free) – Want to share updates and photos with your family and friends but don’t want to do it on social media? This is the app for you. Share pics with desired contacts as long as they have the app or an email address.

Other Helpful Apps

Sitter City (free) – Ready for a night out? Sitter City can help you find babysitting candidates. All babysitters are pre-screened and have detailed profiles, references, reviews and more.
Pampers Club (free) – Turn all those diapers and wipes that you’ll be buying for baby into rewards with this app from Pampers. You can also receive coupons and helpful parenting tips.
